Our Membership runs the gamut from some of the largest corporations in the world to brand-new local companies on the cusp of achieving their immense potential. TARA's Founding Principal Members and Founding Member are large players in the telecommunications and data communications field. Through major contributions in membership fees as well as in-kind infrastructure and expertise, these organizations form the foundation upon which TARA and its members operate.

 

Principal Members

Includes large corporations committed to supporting and engaging our Associate Members in technology developments.

These companies form the foundation of the Alliance and support the organization through significant technology, in-kind and cash contributions.

Principal Member fees are $50,000 annually for the first three years, reducing to $25,000 for the fourth year onwards.

 

Associate Members

Typically, TARA Associate members are small to medium enterprises or major organizations acting through a local mandate. Associate member companies want to develop new services, applications or products related to communication networks. Associate Membership fees are sub-divided into two categories based on revenue:

  • For organizations with annual revenue of more than $1 Million, the annual dues include a matching cash and in-kind contribution of $10,000 annually.
  • For companies with an annual revenue of less than $1 Million, yearly Membership fees are $3,000 cash with a corresponding $3,000 in-kind component.

  • Partnering and networking opportunities
  • Access to venture capital
  • Access to research funding
  • Use of private TARAnet network and the TARA facility
  • Linkages to TARA Affiliates researchers and assistance in commercialization
  • Access to fellow CEOs
  • TARA representation on Associate Member's Boards if desired

 

Individual Members

An Individual Member has access to networking opportunities and seminars held on TARA premises. Individual Membership is $1,000 annually.

Affiliates

Affiliates include universities and research institutions with a focus on technology. The benefits include opportunities for joint projects, partnering with Members, funding for projects with Member companies and access to Research Student Industry Partnerships.

  • Access to the TARA Advanced Research and Commercialization Center
